The 2019 Volkswagen Jetta 1.4L i-4 engine has an oil capacity of 4.4 quarts and the 2.0 L i-4 engine useS5.5 quarts as stated by the manufacturer. The recommended oil for the car is SAE 5w-30 or 5w-40 full synthetic and You should replace the engine oil and filter every 3000 - 5000 to ensure Your engine is at its peak performance. Not changing the oil causes the oil to lose its viscosity and will not properly lubricate the internal parts of the engine such as the pistons and cylinders. The price for oil will range from $5 - $10 per quart depending on if it's conventional or synthetic and the brand/quality of the oil. Make sure if You are replacing oil that You also replace the oil filter as well. The oil change is one of the most important service intervals to keep up on and that is why they have the oil light in the truck now to remind You.

The manual for my 2019 Jetta S (1.4L engine) states SAE-OW-20 and 4 liters, or about 4.2 quarts. I just did my oil change and added exactly 4 liters. I ran the motor and then afterwards checked the dipstick and saw I was still half a quart too low. I added a half quart and was filled to the top of the dipstick indicator line. In total I used 4.473 liters or 4.72 quarts. If anyone is wondering, the drain plug size is M14x1.5.
