The 2008 Chevy Impala has a Set/Reset button located on the Driver Information Center. This button is used to set a reset certain functions. You can use this button to reset things like the trip odometer reading, the average fuel economy display, average speed. You have to use the Set/Reset button when relearning a remote key. When some warnings or messages are displayed on the DIC You can push the button technology You received the warning and clear from the display. This button will also allow You to view the tire pressures in each individual tire. If You wanted to change the language on the display You have to use the reset button. There are many other actions that require the use of the Set/Reset button, the owners manual covers most of them.
