If You are wondering whether the 2008 Chevy Malibu has power steering fluid, I've got some news for You. There is no power steering reservoir nor is there any power steering fluid on the Malibu for this year. You actually have an electric power steering system that relies on a motor for its major functions. This is a great bonus to You because it is reported that electric power steering is fuel efficient which really helps not spend too much on gas. What the power steering system does is helps You swing Your wheels left and right with ease. On traditional power steering systems, You'd get rough steering when the oil was low. In this case, You won't have to worry about that at all.

The 2008 Chevy Malibu does not require power steering fluid , it has electric power steering.
My Malibu lost its power steering all of a sudden and reverted to manual, which would require Arnold Schwartznegger to handle it was so stiff. I started car again and it was back on. Go figure. I know there was a recall for this problem.
