One of the major modern convenience in late model vehicles is the auxiliary port. It allows for use of a wide array of Audio inputs without worrying about proprietary connectors. Fortunately, the 2010 Nissan Maxima is fitted with an aux port standard on all trim levels. ThougH2010 was a time when some manufacturers were just jumping on the aux wagon, Nissan was ahead of the curve, it seems. You won't find the port on Your head unit itself, though. To discover it, You'll have to look a little deeper. Open Your center console, and check out the wall closest to the front of the vehicle. There, You should find an auxiliary jack -- perhaps next to a USB port or cigarette lighter port, if so equipped. Using this will allow You to stream music or other Audio directly to Your Maxima's speakers.
