Certain trim levels and option packages on the 2012 Ford Focus came with GPS navigation, while others did not. The best advice I can give is to check whether or not You have a head unit that looks like its capable of navigation -- is there a screen If so, You may have the Ford SYNC version that supported navigation. It's also important to note that while all navigation requires a screen, not all screens have navigation. You'll also need an SD card slot, where maps are loaded. If all else fails, the single best way to determine whether Your specific '12 Focus has navigation is entering its VIN at https://www.etis.Ford.com/vehicleRegSelector.do -- the readout, if equipped, will include the lines "Sync II With Navigation" and "Navigation Data - N America".

It may have, but as of 2017 Ford discontinued Services (which included navigation) on the SYNC system. So, I have a screen on my 2012 Ford Focus Titanium but cannot get navigation services (on my screen) in any way. It would seem that having the phone 'synced' would allow for the map to be read on the screen, but it does not. I mistakenly thought that because there was an Update that had not been installed that the Services would be there so I spend wasted time putting the 3.1 update on a USB and sat with the car running while it loaded and then pulled the xml file to show Ford that it was done. The only thing this afforded me was having to re-discover the phone to the car -No navigation and I cannot find any way to get navigation to the vehicle's screen.
