Oh boy, do they ever! Yes, the 2013 Ford F-150 has serious enough transmission problems that Ford issued a recall for them. Twice! The first round required a transmission software update, but didn't fixAn issue surrounding the powertrain control module for trucks with the 5.0-liter and 6.2-liter V-8 engines. The software fix for the first recall creates a problem where it tells the transmission to downshift into first gear without any warning. This is super fun if You're going over 50 when it happens. According to Ford, no one's actually lost control of their vehicle or died from this software glitch, but it's definitely something You should be considering before buying this truck (presumably used, at this point).

There has been issues reported with the 2013 ford f-150 in regards to its transmission such as it unexpectedly downshifts into first gear when the vehicle is moving. This could cause a crash and no control of the vehicle. Hence, this vehicle has reported the following transmission problem.

The 2013 ford f-150 vehicles do have a transmission shifting problem such that they may unexpectedly downshift into the first gear while the vehicle is moving. This causes the driver to lose control of the vehicle. Hence, the transmission shifting problem has been reported with this particular model of ford.

Only if it is neglected and abused. The main issue I am aware of is an intermittent torque convertor lockup shudder. There has been speculation the shudder has been from defective phasers, defective coil, moisture in the intercooler, and oil creeping into the engine from the pcv system. To be fair, i have fixed and checked all of these senarios with no solution. I am now going to replace the torque convertor itself costing $750 for a brand new Ford part or you can get a remanufactured one for $300.
