The 2013 Ford Focus is not known for having any serious battery drain problems. They do happen from time to time on the car though, as they do on most cars on the market these days. If You are having a consistent battery drain problem then the simplest way to check it is to use a fuse probe. Turn the vehicle off and go around Your fuse box in the engine compartment and see if anything is drawing power. That will let You know what circuit in Your car is draining the battery. The most likely cause of battery drain is usually an accessory added to the car, or a light that has been left on.

The 2013 ford focus has very bad battery draining even when the power is off and the key is out.

Had to tow my son’s 2013 focus in to the dealership this weekend for what they are telling me is a bad battery. Just replaced it less than a year ago.. I would like some information on this issue as they are making me buy another$130 battery.

Ford dealership charged me $180 to diagnose a battery (NAPA test show it as a good battery) and then $52 to install a new one that I purchased but tests show the battery is good. #dealershipripoff
