The 2014 Ford Expedition does not have really any more transmission problems than other vehicles on the market. The most common parts that fail on them are the control system, as well as the torque converter. When You notice a control system failure it will usually exhibit itself by shifting slowly between gears or feeling like it is hunting for a gear to be in. This usually is a sign that there is a problem in the computer and it may need to be replaced in order to solve it. The next common problem is with the actual torque converter. When this fails You will feel the vehicle slip out of gear while You are driving and that can lead to loss of power.

I have a FORD Expedition 2014 XLT 140,000KM . Its a Mechanical nightmare. Very poor SUV. First the Rocker arm in engine was broken and pieces spread inside engine. Costed me 2500$ to repair. Now the transmission is broken, car is accelerating very slowly in first gear, doesnt gets into 4th gear and torque converter is giving rattling noise . Ford dealership said they need some electronic part called Lead frame part to be replace first to further diagnose transmission and part may arrive in two months or more costs around 800$ and 500$ for replacement. After that how much will be cost to fix it is still unknown.

The top four problems you can expect to experience with your 2014 ford expedition transmission are: the control system, torque converter, range sensor and fluid temperature sensor.
