The amount of room that is offered through the entire vehicle.
Love the extra room with extended length. Love the heated/cooled seats. Love the features included.
accountCircle Kai C
Very reliable vehicle with good features.
Has been very reliable. Love the heated seats and DVD player. Lots of room in the trunk/cargo area. Easy to park and comes with a parking warning if you are too close to an object. Backup camera is nice. Has a sunroof which is also nice. Good height - not too tall.

Ford expedition, perfect for the modern family on the go.
I love my ford expedition! Perfect size for a family on the go. With kids, sports teams and pets, this vehicle fits everything. The heated leather seats are perfect for winter. Handles great on all types of terrain. Perfect for hauling a trailer or small camper. Backup camera makes it super easy to hook up.

It is reliable for many miles.
I like that it is reliable and can transport many people. I like that I have not had any major problems or much maintenance. I wish it got better gas mileage.

Ford explorer acceleration lag.
Good vehicle only problem is the acceleration. When you try to accelerate too quickly it revs the engine but takes a second to kick into gear. Nothing to worry about just a small detail to it. But overall great car and I've driven this car for over 5+ years.

Favorite car yet! Has everything you need and everything you want.
I had the 2000 expedition for years, this one is the first I found that not only feels as comfortable, but adds all the new bells and whistles in the best way! The car is almost intuitive. Review back up, heated seats and cooling seats, one touch rear door open closing are some of my favorite features. There's ample seating and although a large sub, floats over the road and drives with ease. My favorite car yet!

10/10 would recommend for a family with multiple children.
I just got this vehicle. It has a ton of space for the children in the back. All of the features make driving to get groceries not feel like such a job. It is easy for the kids to get in and out and have their own space in the back. The air conditioned seats help on the hot summer days.

My buckets seats and the captain chairs with real nice leather interior,
I had no problems with my vehicle.. I enjoy the ride and comfort of my seats and all the extras.. I have bought two expeditions and have truly enjoyed both. I intend on getting another ford. The new body style is amazingly pretty and very stylish..

It gets terrible gas mileage, but is great in climates that get a lot of winter weather. It is also great on muddy roads.
For about the past year, I've had engine issues. The dealership identified it as a cam phaser failure. For the price and year, it is very behind on technology features.

Paint problem & Ford refuses to repair
2014 exp el. I love the vehicle in all aspects! I did not buy it for the gas mileage. Drives like a dream and fantastic amount of room. Only one issue at this time that will “NEVER” allow me to buy a Ford again! Only 35,000 miles. The Paint is peeling away. I even spent the extra $$ for paint protection and interior protection and extended bumper to bumper protection. This vehicle was my retirement present to me. I spent all this extra $$ as added insurance! LMAO ?! Dumbo! The paint is pealing away. Ford at first said they would repair it. When I brought it back on a schedule day for the repair, they refused to repair the issue. I even brought up, what about the paint protection?? Nope!! It’s not a rusting problem! WTF!!! Are you joking?? Even bringing up the manufacture agreeing that the paint is DEFECTIVE. So I have a wonderful vehicle that looks like S#!t!!! Thanks so much Ford & Mr Bob Rooooorhman of wood field.

Bought a used 2014 and the steering wheel and brakes lock up all of a sudden while driving. Ford extended warranty no help at all

Poor fuel mileage and paint peels roomy and 3rd row seating
Terrible fuel mileage Paint peeling Spacious 3rd Row seating

Lots of ac problems
So far it is good. I would chose GMC again next time. The A/C has been an issue the compressor blew warranty wouldn’t cover the entire thing to be replaced so the condenser and the evaporator core all went out at separate times and Freon leaked in the car for months. What is up with the paint? Is it normal to peel? The car drives pretty smooth. The kids like the seat DVD player over the solo center ones in the Yukon. When I can I will go back to GMC. I liked the seats of the ford but my Yukon was the best, most reliable vehicle I have ever owned!

Paint trouble on Ford Expedition
The paint on the tailgate started to peel off after 2.5 years and after 3 years the paint on the hood started to do the same thing. Ford does not know how to paint aluminum!
accountCircle Jonathan P
Gas guzzling road hog. With extra seats.
It has a lot of room for 9 people. Which is great for a big size family like mine. It gets horrible gas mileage, like only 12 in town. The extra features are awesome like entertainment package with TV and DVD. It has had multiple fuel problems already plus transmission troubles also.

Comfortable but could use improvement
The comfort is great and gas mileage, for an SUV, isn't awful. Has some engine problems, such as coils and often oil change.

Full size comfort and affordable car.
My car sits high so you can see the road, has 3 rows of seats, is comfortable has the luxury feel of Cadillac and Lincoln but not as high priced. Extremely comfortable, love the heated and cooled seats. Can carry large items without any problems like a truck but is out of the weather elements.

Wonderful large family vehicle.
There are shock issues-squeaks when riding over bumps. Overall, the vehicle has been great for our family. Even driving in the mountains, steep inclines, a vehicle of this size did great. There’s plenty of room for storage of luggage on vacation. Our children have plenty of legroom and are not cramped on extended trips. The sunroof has not leaked. The backup camera has been great! The engine sounds great and has plenty of power. The settings for heat/cool work great and the vehicle heats up and cools off quickly. I would recommend this vehicle to anyone with a large family. This is the perfect vehicle for those who have more than 3 or 4 children. Laying down the third row allows for transportation of larger items that you would normally need a truck for. We have even pulled a trailer and mower with this vehicle. No issues there either.

Pros from Owners

likeFilled Sophia H.

Big enough for our family of six and our two dogs. Great car for traveling and looks great on the Road. Runner unfolds for ease of getting into the car and the back door offers two different means of accessing the trunk of the car depending on your specific needs.

likeFilled Shaunee F.

Of course it's 4wd, and has towing capacity, but I love the cargo space, the third row seating and the third rows seats operated by a push of the button, its big, without being to big, decent mpg, great electronics,

likeFilled Gina D.

It is spacious with minimal blind spots. It is the perfect car for families or hauling around different goods. For as large of a car as it is, the gas mileage is great! The turning radius is fantastic and the steering is not too loose. Overall a wonderful car that I would purchase again and again.

Cons from Owners

dislikeFilled Sophia H.

The runner sometimes gets stuck in the down position. We also had an issue with a piston misfiring in the engine and we needed to replace that, since then there had been several occasions where the check engine light has come on and the car has been stuttering.

dislikeFilled Shaunee F.

While mpg is good, wish it was better. For an expensive car, some things feel cheap such as the front and back windshield wipers. Perhaps by now there are different engine options etc, than I had in 2014. Other than that it's pretty good.

dislikeFilled Gina D.

It is expensive to fill the tank and since it is so big, it can be difficult to parallel park. Unless you live in a city though that usually is not a problem. The speakers are not as good as my other car and does not have a touch display screen.

It is reliable. The only problem we had was with the paint on the tailgate. Apparently it is a paint manufacturing problem. It bubbles & peels off, exposing metal

Is The 2014 Ford Expedition A Good Value?

It was almost $30,000. It was a good value because it was used, but it hasn't been used for very long. Another reason it was a good value was because there were no issues with the vehicle.

We bought it new for $60,000 but it is one of those you pay for what you get things. Have never regretted it at all

Well my car is 545.00 a month and it is okay but I wish it could come down or I can pay it off because the payments are a little too much

We paid $40K. It is a good value & comparable to other SUVs in the same category. We liked that it even had a little more cargo space than the Chevy Tahoe
