There have been numerous steering problem complaints with the 2014 Ford Taurus. The Taurus uses an electronic power steering motor, which can fail, and most of these complaints are because of it. What happens it that water can infiltrate the power steering motor case and messes it up. Over time the inside can become rusted and begin to wear away at the internal gears. As the gears wear, metal shaving can build up putting a bind on the motor causing it to fail. You usually will know that the power steering is going out by the noise it makes while turning and You have to turn the wheel more to make the same turns.
