Does the 2015 ford escape have radio problems?

The radio in the 2015 Ford Escape has had reports from many different owners that complain about different faults with the unit. The most common fault is an unresponsive black screen. When this happens nothing will function on the radio. Others report the system freezing on the Ford logo and staying that way. About half of the complaints go on to say that they left the car overnight and it was fine the next day. Some others describe a series of turning the key on and off while opening and closing the door that helped. Ford has replaced some of the units that could not be returned to proper function. Ford also suggests turning off Auto Phonebook Download to prevent the cache from filling up and soft locking the unit and also says to make sure You don't have any special characters or emoticons in Your contact's names.

Ford Escape radio just stop working, for awhile it would show a tuned station, but would not play sound at all. Now it has stopped responding at all. Buttons will not tune anymore either even with no sound. Someone needs to fix this or replace them all!

The 2015 ford escape's radio can stop working for unknown reasons and have problems syncing with bluetooth devices.

I've had problems with connecting my phone to Bluetooth since I've bought the vehicle. It will work just fine and out of nowhere it kicks me off Bluetooth and then it won't work for several days and then randomly it'll work again. I can factory reset the whole system and that never works, just comes back whenever it feels like it

Me too on the radio...between that and the fact that the rear hatch just flies open for no reason when it is parked, beginning to think the Ford Escape is a piece of S$%T
