The 2017 Subaru Legacy does have Apple CarPlay. You will come into issues with the sound. The source could be from the stereo's speakers or a phone that is connected to the vehicle. Whatever the source, You will have to have these issues solved quickly. If the problems are from the stereo's speakers, it could be static sounds, randomly turns off, a loose wire, or a blown fuse. If the problems are coming from the phone, it could be that the software won't update, the device will not sync with the vehicle, the phone's battery is almost dead, or an object is blocking the signal.

The Top Answer is wrong. The 2017 Legacy does not have carplay. There was no option for it and there hasn't been any update to the headunit since it's release. I bought it in 2016 when they came out, I own the car.

The 2017 Subaru does NOT have Apple CarPlay and there is NO manufacturer option to add CarPlay!
