The 2017 Toyota Corolla does not have a digital speedometer, but there is A31/2-inch display between the tachometer and speedometer that can be set to display the average speed. When the doors are closed, and the key is not in the ignition the display will be blank. When one or more of the doors are opened the display will show which door is open and will go out once they are shut. When the vehicle is started a welcome Screen will be shown. In the average speed, selected gear and outside temperature will be shown. If You press the display button on the steering wheel You will cycle through the different display settings. You can choose between average speed, fuel economy and change vehicle settings.

The 2017 uses a combination analog speedometer/tachometer and a digital information screen. The digital information screen strictly shows the odometer, tripometer, and gear you are in.
