The 2018 Dodge Journey does have remote start. This piece of equipment will eventually become useless. The battery will need to be replaced every 50,000 to 60,000 miles. It may coSTSome money, but You will have to cough up the cash to keep Your car running. You will come into issues with the battery during the life cycle of the vehicle. There can be a leak, causing the fluid to spill out. The battery can just die. You will need to recharge or replace it at this point. A cracked case could come about and will need to be replaced completely. The battery can drain quickly and will need to fixed.

Yes, the 2108 Dodge Journey can offer remote start but only on trims with UConnect. UConnect is standard on the Crossroad and GT models and is optional for the SXT and AWD SE trim. The FWD SE does not option UConnect. To access the remote start feature, download UConnect app on your smartphone. Your vehicle needs to be "properly equipped" for the technology to work - including keyless entry. Also some states have additional laws for remote start technology, so ask at the dealership. Also, the remote start module of UConnect is only free for a limited period of time after purchase, then a paid subscription is required to continue the functionality.
