The 2018 Honda CR-V ExAnd LX do not come from the factory with Homelink installed. The models that do have it are, the EX-L and the Touring Edition. The main features of the Homelink system are the auto-dimming rearview mirror and the built in garage door opener that You can progRam so You dont need to have a remote clipped to Your visor. It is possible to add the rear view mirror assembly that has these features built in. You will need to source the part from an online retailer or a used parts dealer. Once You have the part You will need to find a wiring schematic that tells You the colors of the wires that You need to connect to and where they are located.

HomeLink is radio frequency transmitter that can be programmed to use your garage door, set your home security, switch RF controlled lights on and off and turn appliances and electronics from inside your house on and off, all from one transmitter instead of several. Usual in an overhead control panel or on the rear view mirror, HomeLink uses three button and can easily be programmed using a training sequence. The 2018 Honda CR-V EX-L and CR-V Touring both come with HomeLink, whereas the EX and the LX do not.

It doesn't come with the EX! Sales never tell you that. You can not have a linked garage dr opener. Comes on almost every other car in the USA! Disappointed with HONDA 2CRV EX 2021.

Learned this last night after purchasing a CRV EX early this week.Really the first time I’ve ever been disappointed in Honda. Inexpensive option that should certainly be included in every EX. Grrrr
