The type of gasoline You should use on Your 2019 Jeep Cherokee depends on what type of engine You have. The 2.0 L engine requires premium unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 91. You can also use regular unleaded but You will get more engine performance if You use the premium kind. On the 2.4 L and 3.2 L engines, it is recommended to use regular unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87. If You want my advice, always keep Your vehicle fueled so that You won't be stranded on the road. Also, if You run on low gas for a long time You can actually shorten the life of Your fuel pump.

The 2019 Jeep Cherokee with the FWD 3.2L V6 recommends that 89 octane unleaded gasoline be used, otherwise the other engine options are fine with 87 octane regular unleaded gasoline.

Owners manual states regular gas. Using higher octane is not only a waste of money but can actually damage a low compression engine.
