In certain model years, the Nissan Xterra had an optional sunroof package. However, by and large, it was relatively uncommon, so there's a pretty good chance that if You're looking at a preowned Xterra, it won't come with the feature. In my personal opinion, it's a little off-putting on the vehicle, and interferes with the ability to use the roof rack. Still, if Your Xterra isn't equipped but You still want to get in on the sunroof action, there are numerous aftermarket solutions that exist. Though I certainly don't recommend trying to install one Yourself (cutting a hole in a roof seems too risky for me), You can have the addition made through some professional shops for between $500 and $1000.
My 2002 supercharged has the sunroof. It opens fine and the rack doesn’t effect it at all. It doesn’t open all the way though, like it opens just a crack. Which I thought was kinda weird but oh well. No leaks or problems with it. It’s kind of a cool feature when you find out it’s sort of rare, much like the supercharged in general.
The 2015 Nissan Xterra was available with an optional sunroof, if so desired.
