Unfortunately there is no way to check the transmission fluid in a 2015 Ford Escape. Ford has developed their transmission for this SUV without a dipstick. The only way to actually check the fluid is to open the drain plug on the transmission and let a little bit of fluid out to inspect the condition. You will need to add more fluid after You do that though since some was lost in the check. Ford recommends letting a dealership or mechanic check Your transmission rather than You going and working on it Yourself. They wanted to build a sealed transmission that should not need as much servicing when they introduced the transmission in Your 2015 Escape.

Unfortunately, the 2015 ford escape is one of the vehicles that ford does not put a transmission dipstick on, which means you should stick to the service intervals to be sure that the fluid is in good condition.

Drivers side plug by axle. Fluid should be level with bottom of hole.
