If You are having problems with the alarm system in Your Ford 500 You may want to disable it. The only way to disable this system is to unlock the car and put the key into the ignition and turn it to get it to start. If this does not disable Your alarm then there may be a problem with the passive anti theft system. You will need to visit a dealership or shop to have this diagnosed. The computer in the system has been known to have issues in the past and may need to be replaced. The alarm system is there to prevent Your vehicle from being stolen and so Ford does not make it easy to bypass to help protect Your car.

Generally, the disabling of the anti-theft system should only consist of unlocking the car and placing the key in the ignition. If this is not enough to disable it, you likely have a problem with the rf transponder inside the key. Replacing the key is the most common fix.
