To disable the door ajar alarm in a Ford Escape You will need to remove the door panel on the door with the issue. There will be between two to four Phillips head screws that need to be removed first, then start prying out on the panel from the bottom, pull straight out until the clips are released. Work Your way around the panel until all the clips are released and the panel is free. Locate the door latch wiring harness and peel back the tape and locate the Black/White and Pink/Blue wires, cut and splice them together. This will fool the computer into thinking that the door is always closed but will also disable the alarm if someone were to try to break into the vehicle through this door.

To disable the door alarm on a ford escape sit in the seat, turn engine off, remove key, turn key to on position but don't crank, buckle and unbuckle the seatbelt three times and the wait for the warning light to go off.
