Resetting the oil life light in the 2013 Dodge Ram 1500 is a simple process that takes only a few minutes to do. Generally, the mechanic performing the maintenance work will handle this for You, but if they forget or You take care of the oil change Yourself, You can easily handle it. Begin with the vehicle parked and all doors closed. Turn the key in the ignition to RUN, but don't start the engine. Press the accelerator pedal to the floor slowly and release. Do this a total of 3 times within 10 seconds. Turn the ignition to off and then start the vehicle to make sure the reset has been completed and saved. If You're takeng care of the maintenance work, You will need 5.6 liters (5.9 quarts) of 5W-20 for the 3.6 - and 4.7-liter engine. The 5.7-liter requireS6.6 liters (7.0 quarts) of fluid with the same viscosity.

To reset the oil level warning or maintenance light in your 2013 dodge ram 1500 vehicle, turn the ignition key to the "on" position and depress the gas pedal slowly three times. Release and start your vehicle and oil light should indicate a reset.
