If You think Your 2014 Ford Taurus's blower motor may be bad, the first thing You should check is the cabin air filter. It's possible that this has become clogged, which can seriously affect Your airflow; it's a much simpler and cheaper fix, so it's often the first thing I recommend that people check before getting into a lengthy, costly, and perhaps dangerous repair. You may also have issues with the blend door actuator; is Your issue accompanied by a clicking noise That will manifeSTSimilar symptoms. If You're dead set on replacing the blower motor, You'll need to remove most of the dashboard just to gain access; at this point, my recommendation is to take it to a professional, as there's plenty of room for things to go wrong.

Replacing the blower is super easy! On the passenger side floorboard underneath the glove compartment, there is a plastic panel that needs to come off. Depending on the year, it just pops off downward or it has some small bolts/screws holding it in place. Remove that small panel and look up - there's you blower motor!in the later models after 2009,the blower motor is held in place by small tabs around the edge and a single screw. You'll see the single screw on the area to the right up on a small raised area of the motor. Take that screw out, and you'll be able to twist the motor clockwise about an inch or so till the tabs release it and it will fall right down (Sort of like unscrewing a wide-mouth pickle jar). Unplug the motor (actually, do this before you twist it out), take your new motor (About $50) and reverse the procedure - put the fan cage up into the hole, line it up and seat it into the tabs and twist-lock it into place. Make sure the orientation is just like the old one was (actually, the only way it will twist lock into place), put the one screw back in and plug it in. Voila! Test it to be sure, then put the small plastic panel back on (pops into place or is screwed back into place). You're done! These are simplified instructions to show you how easy it is - it could be done in 15 minutes if you have the socket set and parts in hand. When you do it and see the layout, these instructions will make more sense, and you may have to figure a few things out as you go, but its very remedial. Should be no problem! And no, you DON'T have to take the whole dash out, lol.
