If You want to reset the security on the 2005 Dodge Dakota, I can help guide You. What You're going to want to do first is insert the key into Your ignition. Do not turn the key. Then, on Your key fob, press the lock and unlock buttons together until You hear a beep. You will then take the key out of the ignition and close the door. Wait for a minute and after a minute has passed, lock the vehicle with the lock button on Your key fob. Your security should now have been reset and You are good to go.

To reset the alarm on the 2005 dodge dakota you need to lock all the doors, then unlock the driver side and put the key into the on position. Now turn it off and then back on twice and it will reset.
