Resetting the gas cap light in the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee is not possible. The first thing You should try is tightening Your gas cap. It's possible that corrosion has caused an improper seal, which can sometimes be fixed with a wire brush and/or a new gas cap. If none of these seem to fix the issue, You may have problems with Your fuel filler neck. You won't even be able to kill the light with an OBD-II scan tool, as the type of error isn't one that's clearable with such a tool. If the conditions of the fuel cap are proper, the light should go out within a dozen, at most, cycles of the ignition. Otherwise, You've got a problem further down the line with Your EVAP system.

To turn off the gas cap light in a 2011 jeep grand cherokee you should remove and replace the gas cap to make sure it is on tight and if that does not get rid of the light you will need to use an odb-ii scanner to do it.
