Resetting the oil light on Your 2013 Ford Fiesta is easy to do. It will only take about 5 to 7 minutes of Your time. The firSTStep You will need to take is to open the driver's side door, and get inside. Now, place the key in the ignition, and turn it to the on position. Make sure that You do not accidentally start the motor. The orange light from the console should be on. Using Your right foot, push down the brake and gas pedals at the same time. Hold in this position for a count of 18 to 25 seconds. Flip the ignition to the off position, then back on again. At this time, the oil light should go off.

Switch the ignition to on and the mistake appears on the screen and the light from the orange console illuminates as well. Do not restart the engine. For 20 seconds, push and hold down both the brake and the accelerator pedals. Turn off the ignition and then the error / warning will not be present anymore.

Put the ignition in the on position, and press and hold the brake and accelerator down for about 30 seconds.

Mine took 38 seconds with the gas and break depressed while key in on position and I saw the oil maintenance indicator turn off before switching key to the off position.
