In order to reset the ECU on Your 2013 Ford Focus You will first need to pop the hood on the vehicle. Now locate Your battery and disconnect the negative terminal. Let the car sit for one hour without touching it. Now reconnect the battery terminal and start the engine up. Let the car sit for 10 to 15 minutes without touching the gas pedal or anything else. Now go ahead and take Your vehicle out for a normal drive and You should see the ECU return to it's factory standard settings. If this does not work You can either repeat the steps or takeng it in to a mechanic to have them do it.

To reset the computer on a 2013 ford focus, turn the ignition hold and press both the brake and gas pedal for 20 seconds.
