How do I reset the maintenance light in a 2017 Toyota Highlander?

If Your 2017 Toyota Highlander's maintenance light is illuminated, the first thing You should do is perform the recommended maintenance. This goes without saying, but the light is there for a reason; if You want to keep Your Highlander running in top shape for the longest time possible, You'll have to be proactive with Your maintenance. Assuming You've already done that (or are planning to ignore my above advice), You can easily reset the maintenance light by pressing the push to start button twice (without Your foot on the brake). This will put the Highlander into accessory mode. From here, You'll want to press the odometer button until You get to Trip A. At trip A, turn the vehicle off. Hold down the odometer button while pressing the push to start button twice. Continue holding the odometer button until the screen clears, which will reset Your maintenance light.
