The 2019 Chevrolet Traverse comes with an engine auto-start and stop feature. When You come to a complete stop, this may turn off the engine and You will see the tachometer needle switch to the Auto Stop position. As soon as You release Your foot from the brake, the engine will start back up immediately and automatically. If You do not like this feature, You can disable it by turning the car on and switching to manual (L). Once there, press the + button on the gear shift as high as it will go. You can see what gear Youre in on the dash next to the mileage indicator. You should now be able to drive without auto-start and stop. Unfortunately, You will have to do this every time You drive, as there is no permanent way to disable this feature.

To turn off auto stop in a 2019 chevy traverse you need to hold down the stop start button until the light turns on.

Even when you turn off using L / 9, you have to do that each time you restart. Unless I missed a step. There is no permanent turn off of the auto stop.
