Under ideal conditions, the Honda Civic could potentially last for well over 200,000 miles. This isn't factoring in the normal consumable parts that often fail on every vehicle like the brakes, starter, alternator and others. Regular oil changes transmission service tire rotations will all go along way to ensuring a long life. Replacement of suspension components, brake pads and rotors and a new battery every several years are all part of the maintenance needed to get the most out of the Civic. Choosing the correct engine oils and other lubricants and keeping a regular schedule of when they are changed will keep the engine clean and transmission running smooth for many miles.

There are many there are many many Honda Accord Coupes with anywhere from 200,000 to 350 thousand plus miles and still going strong. Mine has over 200,000 it's a 2000 Accord Coupe. So they last a lot longer than a hundred and fifty thousand miles.

I just bought a 2011 Honda Accord EX-L V6 couple with 175,000 miles last fall. It's in near perfect condition and it'd better last well into the future...

I've owned my 2010 coupe since brand new. Now 247,000 miles. Used full synthetic oil only, every 7,000 miles. One tune up. One transmission fluid change. Nothing has gone bad in the motor. It drives great and smooth.
