The 2017 Toyota Camry has an engine oil capacity with a new oil filter of 4.6 quarts in models with the 2.5L 4Cylinder engine and 6.4 quarts with the 3.5 L V6 engine. Without replacing the oil filter the capacities are 4.2 quarts in the 2.5L and 6.0 quarts in the V6. Toyota Genuine conventional or synthetic motor oil is prefered but an equivalent with a viscosity rating of SAE 0W-20 that has a grade of ILSAC GF-5 multigrade engine oil is acceptable. If 0W-20 is not available, SAE 5W-20 can be used, but change it back at the neXTScheduled oil change. Yo should chane the oil ever 3,000 to 5,000 miles if using conventional oil and every 7,500 to 10,000 mile when using synthetic oil.
