If You've got the 2017 Toyota Tacoma with a 2.7 L engine the oil capacity iS5.1 quarts and the 3.5 L V6 engine holdS6.2 quarts. Both engines use the same oil which is a synthetic 0W-20. An oil change at a dealership can cost You from $120 to $150 for the parts and labor but You can do it Yourself for significantly less. You can pick up 5 quarts of a compatible oil like a Castrol Edge or Pennzoil Platinum for about $22 and then You'll just need a new filter which will typically only run You about $10. You should always change the filter when doing an oil change because You don't want to deal with a clogged filter in between changes. -

* Also I personally do not care for 0W-20 it is like using water and with a little research I found that you can use 5W-20 and it won't hurt your Toyota Tacoma. That's about all you can do for a thicker weight of oil.5W-20 Full synthetic.
