Per the manual the 2019 takes 4.4 qts, which is less than older models.
Ii' also like to know what running with too much oil does to an engine. 5qts of oil in my 2020 forester is way above the full mark. Owners manual says 4.4 qts. Everywhere you look on the internet says 5 qts I called the service department and they also said 5q

Too much oil can cause the crank shaft to froth it because they are coming in contact with each other. Puts stress on the oil pump. Stick to the service manual which states that the oil capacity is 4.4 quarts

I tend to run a little high but mfg specs Are a important reference and a way you should not go wrong. Overfill can stress Seals & you do not want to find oil in areas it’s not intended to be. SS
