The 2005 Toyota Corolla engine oil capacity of 4.6 quarts. It is recommended to change the oil in the Corolla every 5000 miles or 6 months. Use only Toyota Genuine or equivalent API grade SL Energyˆ’Conserving or ILSAC multigrade engine oil with a viscosity grade of SAE 5W-30. You can use SAE 10W-30, but replace it with SAE 5W-30 at the next oil change. There is an engine oil replacement reminder light on the dash that will illuminate "MAINT REQD" when the computer determines the oil life is about to expire. This will normally be about 4500 miles after the most recent oil change. It will begin by flashing for a while but once You pass 5000 miles it will remain on constantly.
