Installing a front license plate bracket on a Ford F-150 will vary depending on the style and manufacturer of the brackets. A factory bracket simply snaps into place whereas some cheap aftermarket varieties require drilling into either the bumper or grill. The V6 F-150 models have two vertical bars that a bracket will snap into. The V8 models have 4 horizontal slots in the center of the bumper that the bracket snaps into. Just line up the tabs an push them in until they click into place. A new bracket will cost between $20 to $30, no tools are required for installing the OEM brackets.

To install a ford f150 front license plate bracket, place the bracket on the front faceplate and clip into place. Screw the bracket in and will be securely held in place.
