Well, we're feeling ambitious, aren't we OK, let's remove Your 2013 Ford Explorer's front grille. Just going to say this upfront though, You've going to be playing with some plastic parts. Do not force things! Yes, You're a very strong person, whose gender I'm not going to assume, but You've got to be careful; these parts aren't as ripped as You! So, round up a 10mm socket and a flatblade screwdriver. Looking down around the edge of the trim, You'll see seven 10mm bolts. Take all those off; they circle the grille, above it, at the front of that plastic in Your engine. Additionally, there are two small push rivet fasteners on either side of the latch gap, both next to where the white labels are (if those haven't worn down). Take those off, too. Now, gently, GENTLY pry the grille away from the engine, tilting it forward in the process, to expose 4 more 10mm nuts. Two are towards the middle, but the other two are at the headlights (one apiece). When You've gotten those, there are additionally 6 of those push rivets holding it in place. These love to break; be... Did You guess Gentle! Go slowly, and when You've got those pushed apart, You can just lift the grille away.

Open hood, get 10mm socket and small flat screwdriver remove the 10mm bolt seven (7). Very gently pry the grill away from the engine compartment and turn it forward to reveal the very tricky (10mm) four (4) nuts. Take out the grill

To remove the front grille on a 2013 ford explorer you need to pop the hood, remove the two top screw on each side of the headlights and then the two screws on the side of the headlight assemblies.
