There is no way to disable the auto stop start feature on Your 2017 Buick Envision. This feature was added to make the vehicle more fuel efficient but it has become something of an annoyance for many owners who don't like the feel of the vehicle dying when they come to a stop. You can by pass this a bit by using the shifter before You come to a stop. You'll need to shift from D to L before coming to a complete stop. Then before You start driving again You'll need to change back in to D.
There is a small cable attached to the side of the battery next to the windshield wiper fluid fill cap. Unplug that from the battery and auto stop can't get power to work. Annoying problem solved. Works on many types of vehicles.

Put the shifter in low and then shift the manual button up to L6. The transmission will shift normal and auto stop will not work.

Shift to Neutral as you stop, back to Drive. Works for me.
The sorry SOB salesmanager told me to slip it in neutral as I slow to a stop. I told him the last time I did that I had paid $300.00 dollars for the car, not $40,000 and as far as safety they left that in trash? One time when I took the envision in for an oil change. The service advisor drove it around to bay for the oil change and come back around cursing asking how do you put up with that the motor cut off before the car had even come to a stop? I told him that I had been telling them about this.

If your battery in your Buick starts to get weak- it will stop that "starting and stopping" on its own---- and you will say to yourself- "that is so nice that my car stopped going dead and then restarting at red lights"-----but- that is a major clue---go ahead and buy a new battery ===============================for when the weather turns cold- it will leave you stranded!!!!
