If You're not getting power from the USB port in a Toyota 4Runner first thing is to try a different cord to rule that out. Next, verify the RAD 20 amp fuse to the head unit is good, a blown fuse will cause the USB to not work. Inspect the USB slot for any obstructions or corrosion, a bad connection will cause the USB to stop working also. There have been known software glitches that will blocked communication between the USB in the head unit and to fix it You have to remove the RAD 20 amp fuse and leave it out for at least 4 hours this will restore the unit back to factory settings. If that doesn't work, remove the head unit to verify that all the harness connectors are latched to the correct ports.

If the usb port is not working on your toyota 4runner the first thing you should do is make sure that the fuses for the radio and cigarette lighters are both good.

My 2018 4Runner port has never worked. Toyota service says its fine because it says charging. You can plug into port and not use phone at all. Have all apps closed. The battery will go down about 2% every 20 minutes. There are 2 ports and neither one works.

I removed the RAD 20 amp fuse on my 2018 limited 4 runner - as it is located in the fuse box by the battery - I left it over night and put it back in the next morning and my USB ports are working fine now - thanks for the information -

Resetting the RAD 20 worked for me. Thank you for the help.
