If You're having issues with the fuel gauge on the 2011 Ford Expedition, You're likely encountering one of two problems. Your issue will either lie with the fuel gauge itself on the instrument cluster, or You'll be looking at an issue with the fuel level sensor on the fuel pump. Most commonly for the latter, the foam float on the sensor can become detached, which leads to an inaccurate reading. The repair (and the cost of the repair) can vary depending on what Your issue is, so it's best to first diagnose the issue. Less commonly, You may have an issue with Your fuel tank sending unit, but that's perhaps the most extensive and involved repair of the bunch.

How do you reset it

If the fuel gauge for a 2011 ford expedition isn't working properly it could be that it just needs to be reset but if that doesn't fix the issue it could be a faulty fuel level sensor.
