By channeling hydraulic fluid through a series of paths, the valve body is able to trigger the correct clutch pack for the selected gearing.The main symptoms of a bad transmission valve body are: Hearing banging or knocking noises when pressure is applied to the brakes. Car slows down when the car is put in reverse mode or driving backwards. The shifting stick slips regularly when changing the gears.
