Most overheating problems with the 2012 Chevy Cruze is self-inflicted. The coolant flows out of the radiator it is pumped into the engine through the water pump. It circulates throughout the engine. The coolant absorbs the heat from the engine and is transported back into the radiator. The outside air is directed through the fins of the radiator and remove the heat from the coolant as it flows through it. If the coolant is somehow blocked, it could cause the temperature on the engine to rise. If left on addressed the engine will overheat it could potentially destroy it. Another common cause of overheating problems is using the incorrect concentration of coolant to water. If You have too much coolant and not enough water the heat exchange will not be efficient and too much of the heat will remain inside the engine.

You Just for explanation. My chevy cruze 2012 1.8 kept bubbling and spitting out the reservoir and I changed cap changed the pump thermostat tried blue devil...nothing worked. The actual engine wasn't overheating. After all that I changed the whole reservoir tank and it stopped so I think it was letting air in through the exit valve on the reservoir tank. 4 or 5 mechanics didn't figure this out before it was finally done and repaired with a cheap tank. Thought people might want to know since there is no video on that.

Fins/blades on water pump are so small which causes poor circulation

Some of the 2012 Chevy cruze overheating problems are caused by failed coolant temp sensor, bad thermostat and leaking water pump.
