Owners of the 2012 Dodge Ram 1500 complain of intermittent radio function, with Audio failing in AM/FM mode and coming off and on when switched to CD or AUX modes. In between, "popping" sounds can be heard. The phenomenon is accompanied by a malfunctioning volume knob as well. The problems have been experienced across a variety of users and always involve sound leaving and returning and "popping" noises from the radio/CD. Solutions include removing the radio and having it cleaned along with the electrical connections and wiring harnesses, replacing the volume control knob or in some cases, opting to replace the entire assembly. The consensus across dealerships, is that the issue stems from an internal stereo fault that cannot be repaired but requires replacement.

Ive found that the problem is poor connection between the antenna wire and the radio box. Does anyone have a fix to stabilize and pin in that antenna wire.
