JUST BOUGHT 2016 RAM BIG HORN CREW CAB HEMI. ONLY 18,500 MILES. GOT A EXTENDED WARRANTY. 3 MOS. LATER NOW WHEN YOU COME TO A COMPLETE STOP & WHEN YOU READY TO GO & RELEASE THE BRAKE YOU FEEL A BUMP IN TRANSMISSION OR REAR END EVERYTIME. TOOK TO DEALER & 2 DAYS LATER THEY SAY NOTHINGS WRONG. THE PREVIOUS OWNER MUST HAVE BEEN TAKING OFF FAST & THE TRANSMISSION ADJUST TO THE WAY YOU DRIVE. IVE PUT 5K MILES ON IT & I DONT DRVE FAST. SO THEY SAIDTHEY RESET IT AND ITS FINE. I GOT PICK UP FROM HW HUNTER RAM & FIRST TIME I STOP & TAKE OFF IT BUMPS, NEXT STOP AGAIN. ANY OTHERS WITH THIS PROBLEM.

I have a 2016 Ram 1500 with 63k miles. I have taken it in multiple times due to the shifting issue. They always say it's normal. Now when the truck is out of warranty. The transmission just died. Now I have a massive repair bill!

The transmission on the 2016 dodge ram 1500 8 speed can have a couple of issues attached to it, the number one being that it is hard to shift and the second being that is can slip when it does shift.

For the 2016 dodge ram 1500 transmission problems include the transmission slipping when shifting, and shifting being difficult to do at all. This will make it so you need to replace or fix the transmission.
I have 2016 8speed service warning came on by the time I got home the park light came on also the reverse light neutral and drive light now stuck in drive can not start engine.
I have a Ram 2016 4WD 8-speed 5.7L with 71,000 miles. Transmission has stuck in a single gear a couple times, trouble shifting into reverse a couple times, and also hard shift in lower gears usually first thing in the am. Dodge says replace it, a transmission shop thinks it's something other than the transmission, but can't find it?

Mine is at the dealership now. They are trying to get the factory warranty to replace the valve body in the transmission. Fingers crossed.

Our 2016 Ram transmission just failed it started to have hard shifts and then had torque converter failure and metal went through the transmission, $6500 to repair
