If You've got some overheating issues with Your Dodge Ram 1500 it can usually be traced to a few possible causes. The most obvious thing You can do is check Your coolant levels and make sure You're not below the MINImum line. If You are low on coolant it's likely that You will have a leak somewhere that needs to be fixed. It's also possible that Your water pump has failed and is no longer able to properly move the coolant through Your system. A broken thermostat is another common issue that is a quick fixAnd can get things working again. There are some other possible causes but You may want to bring Your vehicle for a check-up to find out for sure what the cause is. -

I have a 2018 Ram 1500, 3.6 l and it’s overheating. I’ve changed the radiator, water pump, thermostat, engine coolant temp sensor, lower rad. Hose, heater control valve, basically everything on the cooling system accept the heater core. It will run fine for 20-25 minutes and then fluctuate between 225-250, I was told theses engines are incredibly hard to burp. Truck is five years old with 74,000 miles and I can’t figure it out. The heat inside will work after driving it for 3-4 hours but not immediately. I’ve also changed the tstat and all parts Mopar brand. Has anyone had the same issues? I mean in will instantly cool down

Changed fan clutch, thermostat, water pump. Flushed block, radiator, and heater core. Still having issues. Any other ideas? Running 203 thermostat should I drop to a lower one?

The most likely causes of overheating in the dodge ram 1500 are a coolant leak, a faulty thermostat, or a radiator fan issue.

Dodge ram 500 overheating problems are usually caused by the thermostat failing.
