While I was unable to find any recall or technical service bulletin regarding the Chevrolet Uplander, it's of note that many drivers have complaints about the same, especially in the 2005, 2006, and 2007 model years. The main issue is with a slipping transmission, which can be traced back to problems with the valve body -- a dealership should be able to recondition. The other issues You may be looking at include a transmission that's difficult to shift, or an overall transmission failure. The underlying problems that cause these two symptoms (if You want to call failure a symptom) are bad transmission bands and faulty control modules, respectively. You can help mitigate these by keeping Your transmission fluid fresh and filled, but it's also wise to have Your bands and control module checked out sooner than later.

After run a short period of time the transmission starts slipping till no longer pulls and then putout of gear and shut off motor and restart and back in gear for a temporary fix only to stop pulling again

I've had a 2007 uplander and Iwent from slipping to hard shifts. The dealer actually fixed it yes it was warranty that we bought on it. That was an 850.00 repair. The next one was 2007 same no issues. Now our 2008 uplander is having issues with may be electrical and/or pressure solenoid valve issues maybe mechanical issues.
