There are several engines offered for the Focus and all but the 2.3L EcoBoost require the same oil. The manufacturer recommends 5W-30 synthetic blend for this vehicle The EcoBoost needs 0W-40 or 5W-50 full synthetic. Oil changes are recommended at least once a year and are essential to the upkeep of your vehicle.
