The 2007 Buick LaCrosse requires the use of DEXRON-Vi Automatic transmission fluid. The 4T65-E automatic transmission used has an initial fill capacity of 7.4 quarts, and a total fill capacity of 13.4 quarts. Furthermore, the transmission filter used is WIX58837, designed specifically for automatic transmissions. Buick recommends that You change Your transmission fluid every 25,000 to 40,000 miles to help protect against breakdown. You should also keep an eye on Your fluid level in between, as even a small leak can cause catastrophic damage to Your transmission before Your 25,000 mile interval is up. Proactive maintenance all of Your '07 LaCrosse's components -- including the transmission -- is one of the keys to ensuring that it lives one of the longest lives possible, especially since 2007 is quickly becoming "classic"!

Amsoil OE Fuel-Efficient Synthetic Automatic Transmission Fluid, code OTLQT-EA, is recommended. ATF is dangerous, so be careful when using.
