What size speakers are in a 2011 Chevy silverado?

The speakers in a 2011 Chevy Silverado are a special size, but an aftermarket 6 ¾-inch speaker is the closest match. In order to install aftermarket speakers an adapter plate needs to be purchased, will allow pretty much any size speaker, 6 ¾-inches and smaller to be used. The door panel will need to be removed in order to get to the screw holding the speaker to the door. You will need a 10 millimeter socket and ratchet with an extension, a flat blade screwdriver and a pair of needle nose pliers. Remove the three plastic trim pieces, the triangular one next to the mirror, the thin one over the interior door handle and the piece just below it. Stick a screwdriver behind them and pry them out. There are several 10 millimeter bolts behind these trim pieces that will need to be removed once that is done the panel can be pried away from the door.
