After about 130,000 miles the transmission needed to be rebuilt and the radiator replaced because the rpm kept jumping. Even though I took very well care of the vehicle it still had these problems. The heater also is not operating very well at the moment. It tries to turn on but will not.

Chevrolet issues with a used vehicle.
I bought this truck used and have had many mechanical issues it the short time I've had it. The service light was on before I ever made my first payment, then problems with the oil pressure unit and was told this model was bad for that. I bought this truck because I was in need but regret the decision.

Chevy silverado pros and cons.
Intermittent problems that I wouldn't consider normal wear and tear. Uses some oil between oil changes. Very comfortable for long trips. Overall fairly reliable. Ability to tow and work the truck when needed. Would consider buying another silverado in the future.

The Chevy Silverado 1500 lt is capable of any job you'd need to get done.
The truck runs great, performs just the same in the heat, cold, goes up hills great, goes down hills great. I pull my boat just fine and the gas mileage is not great but it really is not bad for the area I live in. The trucks air conditioning and heater works fast and powerful within moments of turning the vehicle on.

I like how the exterior looks, in my opinion it looks better than the new models.
Best purchase I made was buying a Chevy Silverado, I do not regret buying it because it does not give me any problems. I bought the car with 70k and it is now on 140k and had no issues whatsoever. The only thing I recommend is buying a newer model for example a 2015 Chevy Silverado would be a great purchase because of the looks. I heard that year model the ax goes out but that can be fixed.

My vehicle has an aftermarket cold air intake as well as a borla s series muffler.
Runs like a beast. Love the 4x4 I use it often. I haven’t had any problems out of it yet. I have had it for six months and have put 6 k miles on it. Very good on gas. I usually get 420 miles to a 25 gallon tank of regular unleaded. By far the best truck I have ever owned.

Very reliable. Comfortable with a decent sized back seat. Bed that can hold a huge tool box if you work in construction or iron work. Haven’t had any out of the normal issues. Does take a lot of gas. Not a ‘family’ vehicle but definitely a good work truck or for someone with a kid or two.

This has been the best truck ever. I have not had any problems out of this truck I have not ever had to put it in the shop. I have only had to change the oil as regular maintenance. This truck is a very smooth ride it drives well in all weather. It is a must have.

My Silverado is a nice truck. It runs great and does not give me any problems.
My truck does not have all the bells and whistles, but it runs beautifully. It is getting up there in the years, and needs a bit of work, yet it is made it through one crash and protected my family and I from the crash. It has comfortable seating, and enough room for 5 people. One problem is that it does not have a USB port, but other than that it is great.

Great all around vehicle.
There is some rust starting to establish itself under the wheel wells of the back bed especially. I have added chrome fender flares to cover some of it up. Plastic chrome handles on doors have a tendency to break. Need to check bolts on exhaust manifold periodically as they have a tendency of unscrewing themselves, however they are really easy to get to and with a little loctite they should stay right in. I am very pleased with the truck overall and the performance of the engine is great.

Very smooth riding truck with easy steering wheel controls.
Overall the truck is very smooth riding and comfortable. It alerts whenever you have a low tire or any issue, I love how you can connect your phone to your truck with Bluetooth. Another thing I love is the steering wheel radio controls it makes it easy when you are driving to change the radio station or turn down the music.

It is my baby, I get fairly good gas mileage, it is very reliable I like the comfort use it to drive to FL every yr. I do not like the placement of the door handle it hits me in the knee. All that I need to do is reg maintenant. The bed liner is a truck saver.

Four wheel drive Chevy great handling.
Not great on gas mileage but handles very well have over 200,000 miles on it. It is four wheel drive so it gets me around in bad weather I would recommend this type of truck for the fact the four wheel drive handles well if you need to haul stuff you have the capacity.

My truck has the 4.8 v8 Chevy engine in it.
I have only had two problems with my 2011 Chevrolet lt 1500 Silverado. Which was corrosion on my fuse box chasing the fuel pump not to work and start, and needing to place a sway bar, and a great set of tires due to uneven wear because of the warped sway bar.

Why I love my truck. I really love the 4 wheel drive.
I really love my truck. It has a bench seat so we can fit more people. It has a long bed which helps with hauling things. It has a 5 disc CD player with built in Sirius radio. It drives really nice not like a field truck and it has 4 wheel drive which is awesome cause we get alot of snow.

No frills but gets the job done.
Not too many features compared to the ls version. Has everything you need for a pickup. Has 4 wheel drive so can go anywhere I need it to. Wish it had some more power. Feels sluggish getting onto a freeway and affects gas mileage. Could be the rear end gearing but sits at about 2000 rpms under highway speeds which kills the gas mileage.

The highlight is we turned the bed of the truck into a flatbed.
Number one I love Chevy/ GMC vehicles and Chevy will always be my first choice when it comes to buying a vehicle. The Chevy have now which is my husband's work truck is pretty cool we converted the bed of the truck into a flatbed we have had this vehicle since 2017 and we haven't had any problems only thing I wish it was a gas truck instead of a diesel.

Very reliable, some problems.
My family bought this vehicle used in 2016. It has served as a work truck in heavy off road areas. There have been several problems over the years, as what happens to every vehicle. Recently, as of 2019, there has been an increase of problems due to its extensive use. Even with this, the problems are usually easy to identify and fix. So far it has proved to be a very reliable vehicle, which is to be expected from a Chevy.

It is a great truck to drive, very useful.
Truck rides really good, nice comfortable interior, engine could be more powerful (5.3 liter v8). No major issues since I've owned the truck. Fuel economy is about average for a full-size 4x4 pickup truck, I'm averaging about 13-14 mpg city and 17-18 highway. The truck does have active fuel management to help with gas mileage also. I have the LT trim level and it is nice for what it is, carpet power seats, remote start, parking sensors, adjustable pedals, etc.

Great truck, very reliable.
Slight cosmetic damage on drivers seat and a 2 inch crack on the dash. Biggest issue I have ran into is the oil pressure sender/sensor went out, unfortunately it is located behind the engine block which is very difficult to replace. Also the doors creak loudly when opening and closing.

Perfect Chevy truck for small family.
The Chevy Silverado is perfect for people who want to own a truck that also have a small family. We are able to fit a total of five people in the truck, two up front and three in the back. There is plenty of legroom for both the front seats and back seats. We get about 12 miles to a gallon which is not that bad plus we have a four inch lift and it is 4 wheel drive.

2011 Chevy Silverado 1500.
The Silverado is a great truck with plenty of horsepower and torque. The inside is spacious and well put together. The 5.3 engine is great. The transmission is well built. The exterior is very durable to damage and weather conditions. So if your in the market to buy a Silverado then you have made the right choice.

2011 Chevy Silverado-Dependable
Good, dependable vehicle. Average fuel economy 16 mpg, wish that was better. At 96k miles with no major issues. This year just started having electronic warnings come up when it gets below 45 degree I,e, check Stabilitrak. Weird issue with mice eating copper wiring and told it was a pretty common problem now due to new coating on wires.

Great truck that gives you more for your money.
Very nice and comfortable vehicle. I have had one minor issue with the front headlight but nothing major. Runs well and handles road trips extremely well much like a sedan. Radio controls on the steering wheel is a major plus! Nice sound system and Sirius radio that integrates with your cellular device. These are commons feature now but are very nice to have in an American made vehicle.

It is a pickup truck so there's plenty of room, it's a white color witch I like, I just had new tires put on they are goodyear tires and I researched these tires.. I do not like the gas mileage it has always seemed to burn a lot of gas I get about 12 miles to a gallon.. I do not like the way it is always shifting up and down.

The truck is a great starter truck if you have never drove one before. The seats are very comfortable though for short people the seat does not move up very far. Drives very well easy to handle. In the winter not the best the truck is very light, I would suggest weighing it down in the back to add more traction.

I have taken the truck on trails and yet to find one that gets me stuck.
I have the 2011 Chevy Silverado. I really enjoy it, it is a reliable truck. The 4 wheel drive works great! The truck it is self runs great!! I have a lot of miles on my truck and it runs like new. The heat/ ac also works great. I haven't had any problems with my vehicle at all other than normal problems such a new tires or whatever. But nothing just with the truck manufacturing.

Chevrolet makes a good product. I need a truck where I live. I also need four wheel drive to get in and out of my driveway in the winter. I have never had any major issues with my truck, just the usual oil change and brake pads. My truck rides nice. The clock is easy to change when the time change rolls around.

Spacious reliable full size truck.
Great truck. Haven't had too many issues. Oil sensor is faulty and have had to have that replaced two times. Rust becomes an issue around the wheel wells after a few years of use. Very reliable overall. Feels very safe and having the choice of using regular gas and e85 is a nice feature. Rides comfortable for a full sized truck. Crew cab is spacious and easily fits four grown adults comfortably. Have used to tow a pontoon boat on a weekly basis and have never had any issues doing so.

I haven't had any major problems with my truck. Just a few small maintenance things such as having to change the thermostat. I also had an issue with the emissions carbon filter. Otherwise my vehicle runs great. The doors have an issue where they do not seal all the way so you can hear the air rushing as you drive.

Reliable truck all the way around.
This truck has low miles so have had no major repairs. We replaced sensor. The gear shift would not go into any other gear if it was in park unless you just kept moving it up and down. After this was replaced if worked perfectly as for reliability and performance no problems. We usually buy Ford trucks bt this was a good used truck with low miles and we were in a pinch to get truck fast. We drive it back and forth from Florida to Ohio and back pulling a horse sometimes with horses and sometimes empty and we have had no problems at all. The truck rides nice and is roomy. Need to make it easier to replace the bulbs in the headlights easier to get to.

Put a certain coating on and it looks brand new and the truck is 8 years old.

Great family vehicle for everyday use or long distance travel.
The truck drives smooth and has been very reliable. The seats are comfortable for long trips. I do miss the turn knobs for the heating and cooling features as having to push the button to lower the degrees can be distracting. The backseat is roomy, I have three kids one in a booster and one in a car seat. I have not had any performance issues, just routine maintenance.

I have put 256,000 miles on the truck. Other than routine maintenance, I haven't any issues with it. The motor has plenty of power. I have driven the truck in some very rough conditions and it has never failed me. My next truck will also be a Chevy 4x4.

Great reliable runaround vehicle if you need to haul light cargo.
Fuel mileage has been good, I drive a lot of miles. It has a small v-8. And 2wd. I have had a few problems, but nothing terrible. Had a spring pop off of one of my lifters in the engine and that caused the engine to run rough. There is always an engine light on and also the traction control light is constantly on. I am having paint issues. The clear coat has bubbled up in a few spots around windows and doors. The cab is a single cab and is cramped for a 5'9' man but it is functional. I can not complain. It is reliable.i'll buy another one in the future. Hopefully with a larger cab.

I haven't had any problems with the truck stall. It's been put through the test as well from water and mud to pastures and potholes. 2011 Silverado. Not a great long term vehicle.
Burns oil. Gas mileage is not great. Air conditioning is still cold. Factory remote start is nice. The tires are expensive to replace. The tailgate is not as easy to open as it used to be. The rear sliding window cable broke a few weeks ago and needed to be replaced. The center console latch broke a year or so into owning the truck.

A good truck, but there is some issues.
Overall it is a good truck. Early on, we had oil consumption and leaky seals but these were covered by warranty. If we had not had the warranty, we would had never continued to own the vehicle. But since that time there has been no major issue. We are frustrated that such an expensive truck does not have top quality parts (I.E., the dash have cracks in it).

Truck that is lasting over a decade.
I have yet to replace anything on my truck that wasn't a consumable. It is been reliable as day one. Maintaining is easy. It is still a smooth ride and the interior has survived very well with no holes in the seats with me and 8 dogs. My only gripe is when it goes to 4 cylinder mode, it does feel funny. The more gets an ever so slight vibration. I use the four when drive regularly and haven't had any alignment issues. It is never gotten stuck in swamp mud and water, or on Carolina beaches.

I keep having my fuel pump to go out. And it is very upsetting to have to drop the gas tank to replace it otherwise it is a dependable car. Never had problems until three years ago bb every since then I had to replace it on three different occasions.

Been pretty reliable. Its work truck nothing fancy. Manual windows etc.Just mostly routine maintenance. Brakes oil changes coolant flush thermostat tires etc but I did have the throttle body go out on it and had a sensor pigtail get corrosion in it and cause some running problems. Dash cracks in the normal places that all of them do.

I absolutely love my 2011 Chevy Silverado. I can use flex fuel in it but where I live it's hard to find it. There isn't anywhere that I can't go in my truck and I would buy another in a heartbeat. Ok on gas. Has a wide turning radius so parking can sometimes be a challenge. But I love my truck. Have done basic maintenance. Brakes rotors. New tires. Have had some issues with it sticking in 4wd but have found a trick online to fix that. Not a lot of storage inside and could use a better stereo. But no problems hauling my camper or going down an icy road.

It is a very reliable vehicle and has done well with miles per gallon, being on average with advertised fuel efficiency. I haven't had any issues with towing/hauling anything with a reasonable weight. I use it both as a daily driver and also to carry materials to job sites. It had a minor steering column repair around 80k miles. It is a quiet and smooth riding vehicle!

No problems at all. Standard features with no major repair bills since I bought the vehicle new in 2012. I make sure to keep up my suggested maintenance. I am pretty hard on my vehicles and it looks great to be a 20011 model. I have a very small crack in my dash from heat but nothing else.

This truck has been through cross country through the Virginian mountains and is still holding up good. The only problem I have with it is gas mileage could be better. Other than that this truck is tough. It got its axle broke a few years back because it got hit by a pipe. Besides that it runs in great condition.

If you treat the truck right it will work for you in return for a very long time.
I won't mention aftermarket parts. I commute over 50 a day just for work and my Silverado has gotten me there every time. I use full synthetic oil so the engine always sounds great and runs smoothly. The seats fold to give me enough room for when I pack to go camping. With the crew cab I still have enough room inside the cab and the back.

Lifted truck. Big wheels and tires
No issues yet.. Love the truck. Reliable. Added a body lift and suspension lift and had no problems either.

Well built and reliable, would buy another one for sure.
The ltz package is a very nice trim level. The truck has the 6.2 liter engine with 20' wheels. Very comfortable ride. Also has the tow package and transmission cooler which really helps. I drive about 50,000 miles a year and would buy another one.

Varies from day to day with me.
Have had problems with the transmission with down shifting on its own. Also have problems with it going into four wheel drive mode. Have a small tick in the engine. Sounds like it might possible be the lifters. The truck has about 66,000 miles on it now.

Being an owner of a Chevy Silverado is probably one of my greatest investments.
I love Chevy. I grew up with Chevy vehicles, all trucks since I lived in a farm. I currently own a 2011 Silverado 1500. It runs great. It is roomy, the back seats are fairly comfortable. I have a newborn and her car seat fits great. And our two other younger children gave plenty of room in the back. We love having a pick up because it is easy to move big items such as furniture, household appliances, home gardening supplies, really big items that cannot fit in the vehicle. My truck is very dependable. However I do make sure it is maintained well. If you take care of your vehicle and it is maintenance it runs and works better and longer. Some problems I find with my truck is with the turn radius. It is not very easy to turn the wheel to park in parking spots. So I find I have to find spots where no one else is parked just to make it easier on me to park. Another problem, my husband changes the breaks and pads himself and he has trouble taking the wheel parts off. He had to take the truck to pepe boys to have them loosen up some parts on the wheels. There is something squeaking in the truck I think it is the back seat. I really can't pinpoint it. I have googled it and others who own the same vehicle have the same problem. Also the front dash has cracked and keeps getting bigger and bigger. I do live in Florida so the sun inside has had an effect not this. I did find another dash and it is inexpensive and fairly easy to install. I spend a lot on gas each week. But I do not have to use the most expensive fuel so that helps. Gas is expensive so if you are not looking to spend a lot on gas I would suggest not buying a truck or have an alternate vehicle to drive. We owned a Chevy Camaro and it was a great car too. Our younger girls fit comfortably in the back but with the new baby it wasn't easy fitting her in the back. I really love my Chevy Silverado. I have owned a Ford lariat and that was a good truck too but I wouldn't trade my Silverado for another truck unless it were for a brand new Silverado.

Dependable equipment. It is dependable and durable
In 210000 miles I have pulled trailers as I have the towing package I had the transmission rebuilt wouldn't trade it off as I use it everyday for work and pleasure. It is a durable and dependable pickup. With all the miles it is still a nice looking truck.

Chevrolet Silverado stands the test of time.
I have had to read-tire my truck three times due to grime buildup on the aluminum wheels. Since I have own this vehicle I have had an issue with two sensors and a valve seal that needs replaced due to burning oil. I have had to replace switch clusters for the windows as well. Overall these are minor issues and reliability has been great. This vehicle excels and a towing and family travel vehicle.

I love my truck have not had any major problems with it.. Just simple take care of it as kept me on the road. Me and my family have took several safe trips on the road..Never have had a issue with the ac / heat. Also great on the gas! I highly recommend this truck..

Chevy means worry free, family safe and fun loving.
Our Chevy truck has never had a problem. We do regular oil changes, brakes, all the odds and ends that a good car owner should do but never has anything on the truck gave us problems. It is very reliable and trustworthy. If I had to jump in it tomorrow and drive cross country I wouldn't worry one bit.

Rust cannot make me stop loving this truck!
The truck is very durable and reliable, it has 180,000 miles and has been kept up with oil changes. The speakers work well, and the folding seats and amazing when needing to bring the dogs on trips. I do not like that the fenders are rusting and the doors. This is very hard to fix without replacing the whole bed or doors.

Great gas mileage and handles great in all weather.
My truck is all I wanted in a truck. Good looks, good mileage. Good for all purposes. It gets good mileage and handles great. I have had no maintenance problems and can handle basic maintenance on my own. Has great resale value. Handles tough jobs with no problem.

Loving my ride with my Chevy truck on the road or on a trip.
No problems. Gas mileage could be better. Has cheap door handles that break easy. Love the all leather and the overall feel of the ride. Excellent on trips and very comfortable silver in color with running boards make for a sporty look price was pricey but value holds on the upper side.

Chevy Silverados are amazing trucks.
It is a great vehicle and very reliable. But it is very popular on these vehicles that ball joints, spark plugs, headlight bulbs, and a/c goes out often. The ltz trim includes the leather seats with heating. I believe these trucks are also amazing when lifted or leveled.

Hits high speeds quickly and comfortable ride.
The truck I have is a great vehicle. Very reliable and comfortable ride. Not that bad on gas mileage. Gets to a fast speed pretty quickly and has pretty smooth ride. Only flaws is it does not have electric windows or door locks. Nor did it come equipped with a backup rear camera. Other than that I am happy and very satisfied with this vehicle.

My truck came with a lot of adds. It has a cool engine that kicks down into a v4.
My chevy silverado 1500 has been an excellent truck for me. It does everything I need it to do. Being towing my boat or using it as my work truck. I live in alaska and everyone owns a truck so it is kind of a lifestyle up here. I do not like the anti locking brakes though sometimes they lock my tires up when they are slipping on the ice when I need to speed up.

Great family vehicle with the ability to tow a boat or anything else.
I love the space and comfort it provides between having a toddler and a large dog it can be hard to fit everything in other vehicles but we never have an issue with our Silverado. It is lasted through the years and will be hard to replace. I wish it had a more updated Bluetooth system and radio for hands free but obviously being a 2011 we didn't have those options at that time.

Reliable and different bed liner.
Very reliable vehicle. Plastic liner in the truck bed is loose. Spray in liner would be much better.

Like a rock Chevy Silverado.
I haven't had any problems. My truck has always been reliable. The gas mileage could be better. The truck runs great and never broke down. It has 93,000 miles on it and runs perfectly. I wouldn't buy anything different. I wish it had the towing package through.

Great comfortable family sized truck.
This is a very comfortable truck. It handles loads and trailers well. It is great for road trips. I'd like better gas mileage but it's a truck. I have broken 3 motor mounts and 1 tranny mount. At 180k miles, replaced front wheel bearings. Other than that, normal maintenance is good.
