For the 2010 Ford Mustang the manual recommends that You use SAE 5W-20 engine oil for the 4.6 L V8 engine. The brand they recommend is Motorcraft so You can stick with that one or find any sort of equivalent brand that You prefer as long as it is API certified. You can tell that by the big seal that is typically displayed on the oil bottles. For a powerful engine like this it would also benefit You to use a full synthetic 5W-20 rather than a conventional oil. You'll keep Your engine cleaner and running better for extended periods of time. Just make sure to keep up with Your 7,500 mile oil and filter changes. -
