The check engine light showing up on Your 2018 Chevy Silverado truck could be a big range of issues. There are a few that are more likely than others so let's discuss those. The spark plugs going bad are going to be an extremely common reason. You'll need to get this replaced regularly and You should look at Your maintenance schedule to see if it's time. The oil may be running low. This truck has an oil life light but it will also pop on with the check engine light if the oil is low enough that it is effecting Your engine.

I have a 2018 silverado 1500. This year does not have a standard gas cap, instead it has a flap that closes to make a seal. A build up around the flap will cause it to s**k air, this throws the sensor off and your check engine light will come on. Clean the flap and all around the opening this will allow the flap to seal properly, then have your mechanic clear the code and you shouldn't have anymore issues as long as you regularly clean your flap.

If your "check engine light" makes an appearance in your 2018 Chevy silverado it may indicate a loose gas cap or a more serious issue like a failed o2 sensor, a larger emissions leak or problems with your vehicle's catalytic converter.

I have a question, so My husband's chevy silverado 2018 also got that solid engine light On, and when we went to the Dealership they said they didn't knowwhat's the problem, they try to open the flap on the front where air would regulate the engine or whatever it was, not really sure what term he use, but yeah that and whenever we drive say it's around 50km to 60km our vehicle would just shake/ vibrate like crazy, and the dealership still don't know what's wrong even tho they already tried to drive it to feel what we are talking about. Anyone here got any idea what we can do bout our vehicle. Coz this one makes me nervous everytime we drive. Thank you!
